Deutsches Frühstück – German Breakfast

To celebrate the end of Term 1, students in Years 9 and 10 German prepared a traditional German breakfast. In Germany, breakfast is more formal. The table is set with a table cloth and place settings with napkins and egg cups. They eat bread rolls with lots of different kinds of cheese and cold meat or sausages, and a boiled egg. To drink they have coffee or tea and orange juice. We learned the German words for all these foods and drinks, how to say grace in German, and a traditional German children’s song about being hungry.
