GrowingNZ Innovation Challenge

On Tuesday 9th May, eight Year 10 students took part in the GrowingNZ Innovation Challenge run by the Young Enterprise Trust.
The challenge, aimed especially at Year 10 students, required the participants to come up with possible solutions to real problems faced in New Zealand’s primary industries. The two teams of four worked hard to come up with original and innovative prototype products using their knowledge of business, science and technology.
Congratulations to Catherine Ramoo who was awarded ‘Most Valuable Player’ of the day out of approximately 80 students from schools all over the Wellington region.
Thanks to all of the participants – Kaye Jayme, Simone Lenora, Gina Dao-McLay, Keira Chadwick, Xyryll Gayagoy, Bobo Wood Yan, Rachel Fitzgerald and Catherine Ramoo – for representing St Mary’s so well on the day.
